A designer’s POV on how Grammarly reached this mammoth valuation figure.

Being in B2B & B2C spaces, Grammarly boasts a simple and clean design that helps fix users' issues quickly. Here are some key elements that work well:

Seamless Integration: Grammarly gets added across the browser and devices ensuring a consistent experience across different contexts. This integration eliminates friction and enhances convenience for users, making Grammarly an indispensable tool in their workflow.

User-Friendly Interface: Grammarly boasts a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy for users to navigate and utilize its features.

Accuracy and personalisation: Grammarly is accurate in terms of grammar and spelling suggestions. Also, goes beyond basic grammar checking by offering personalized writing suggestions based on context and tone to enhance the experience.

Timely Feedback: Grammarly provides real-time feedback as users type, highlighting errors and offering suggestions instantaneously. This immediate feedback loop allows users to address issues promptly, improving efficiency and productivity while using the platform.

User-Centric Authentication Methods: Grammarly recognizes the diverse preferences of its user segments and tailors authentication methods accordingly. For B2C segments, social logins and passkeys offer ease of use and security, while B2B segments benefit from single sign-on (SSO) and magic links for efficient access management and security.

There are a lot more factors apart from UX helping Grammarly reach the valuation it has today, but as a designer, these are a few things we can quickly take away from their success story, ensuring a good experience for their customers.
We should look into the ease of use, accurate feedback, personalization, seamless integration, timely assistance, and continuous improvement. By prioritizing these elements, we can not only meet but exceed the expectations of its users. Similar to how Grammarly cemented its position as a leader in the language and communication tools industry.
